Another new book

Well, the big New York City launch of The Dead Can’t Make a Living went well, actually it couldn’t have been better. It was held Friday May 10 at the event space of Think!Chinatown and Lucy Yu of Yu & Me Books handled book sales. And the books sold out, so…great! I’m extremely grateful for all the people who came, from all parts of my life, and a handful of strangers. To top it all off, The Super Sucklord even made a new piece, a character based on the skull on the book cover.

There have been a number of reviews in the prepub magazines, and I understand they’re “good,” but I don’t read book reviews, and I haven’t since 2022. My wife Cindy is an actor, and she doesn’t read reviews of the shows she’s in because, good or bad, they can affect your performance. I’ve adopted this stance, as well. After all, these reviews aren’t for me, they’re for potential readers, and if they’re good for the marketing department.

Well, April is almost half over, and it’s still annoyingly cold in NYC. Why.
